Southern Utah wildfire fully contained
After nearly five days of fighting, crews Saturday finally contained a southern Utah wildfire that has burned thousands of acres.
Crews aim to gain upper hand on Black Mountain Fire
Containment progress on the Black Mountain Fire, which was ignited by a lightning strike late Tuesday afternoon, was reported to be at 35 percent as of 8:30 a.m. Friday, said Nick Howell, fire mitigation and education specialist for the federal Bureau of Land Management.
Multiple agencies fight Black Mtn. Fire
As the Black Mountain Fire burns outside of of Minersville, at least seven agencies of fire suppression forces and resources in Southern Utah have been called in to help.
