Bridgeton man gets state prison sentence for 2007 fatal shooting of mother

Donald Thomas, 25, of Bridgeton, was sentenced to 10 years in state Superior Court in Bridgeton Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 for his role in the 2007 drive-by shooting death of a 49-year-old city resident and mother of five.

Cumberland County slammed by near-record rainfall; floods, damage and injuries follow

As floodwaters approached five feet in depth on Rhonda Drive in Millville early Wednesday morning, residents were evacuated by emergency workers using boats as the city reacted to the overnight rainstorm that dumped nearly 9 inches on the area.
