The Central Islip man shot by an off-duty city cop two weeks ago remains in a drug-induced coma following three surgeries at Stony Brook University Medical Center, according to his attorney.

A lawyer for the Central Islip man shot by an off-duty city cop outside a Miller Place pub last week said Tuesday he expects to file a lawsuit this week against the New York City Police Department and the officer.

Police said the man was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center. His condition was not known Wednesday.
