Celebrating cultural diversity

Dances to honor traditions from across the globe, a multi-generational health walk and ample distribution of a round pastry are among the ways the San Mateo community will ring in the first full moon of Autumn. Centered around Central Park and hosted by the Self-Help for the Elderly, the Autumn Moon Festival is expected to draw hundreds of people to a critical hub for San Mateo County seniors, said Rosalyn Koo, a member of the nonprofit's board.
