The resurfacing project on County P between Wood County N and County S in Milladore is currently scheduled to begin as early as Monday, July 1, 2013.

The day begins with a parade at 11 a.m. Other planned events include a show for classic cars and collector tractors.

The Wood County Health Department checks licensed food establishments, tattoo parlors, nail salons and a few other types of businesses about once a year to determine whether the businesses meet state requirements to ensure healthy conditions.

The Mathias Mitchell Public Square has been awfully empty on Saturdays, but farmers say they expect this weekend's market to be much busier.

At 6:50 a.m. Friday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported three vehicles had been gone through during the night and a knife was missing in the 300 block of 19th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids.
