let the State Police conduct their investigation before we the public react to speculation. Our prayers should be directed to the families and their losses.

As a police officer I would say let the investigation take its course, there are going to be several factors that led to the accident, but it appears SPEED is going to be a significant factor in the cause of death. I am sorry and pray for all involved. Unless it is found that alcohol or drugs on board, a brother officer is going to get himself jammed up. Drive with due regard my fellow officers.

What kind of story is this reporter looking for, it's as if he intentionally foi'd the officer's record just hoping for a bad record so that he could give it to the public and say see here, judge him and make the correlation to this current event. Just wrong.

The media are vultures.....they are just absolute scavengers who will stop at nothing, no matter who they hurt, to get their story.....I feel that the current media in this country act far outside the scope of freedom of the press....most of what I see in the Register and the Post is more like tabloid than news.

A separate entity here. A cop's record is no explanation as to why two young teenagers are dead, nor can it make it right. Nor should it be published in order to 'soften' the circumstances. Prayers go out for the families of these two victims. Sad story for all involved, including the cop who must live, knowing exactly what happened that morning, no matter whose fault.

Too many people drive way too fast, including police officers. Unless an officer is driving to an emergency, they should not speed. Police officers need to set an example for everyone else.....SLOW DOWN

What we have here is a tragic accident that unfortunately took the lives of 2 young people. If the police officer is to blame the city will be held liable. If not they won't and it will not change the fact that 2 young people died way too young.

There are threads on here with accounts of friends expressing their thoughts and the father expressing his remembrances and I really don't see anything wrong with having a thread about the police officer involved in this horrific accident. I think it is an acceptable, but I am sure that I will get clueless and nuts next to my post shortly.

I feel so bad for everyone involved in this accident. This officer's entire career and life are ruined over this & the poor parents of the teens who died. I think the news should really stop exploiting this story. Dragging people through the mud is not going to solve anything. Plus, who wants to see these horrible comments when they are reading about their friends or family members?

It turned out not to be news, but I was wondering what type of Officer he is. The answer to that question based on this report, sounds like he is a fine officer and that this was probably a really terrible mistake that ended up costing 2 young people their lives. I thought it was a good follow-up to the story. Plus, how bad would it be if the Post had pulled the record, found nothing incriminating, and decided not to publish? If I found out that happened, I sure would be chirping about how slanted the news was!

This PIG from Milford who murdered those two teenegers should be put to death or his children should be run over to make things even but as a part of CT PD or the "good ol boy network" he will get off with a slap on his wrist. Uneducated low IQ simpletones like You are running the show in CT state and results are seen all over. The ratio of NYC cops to CT cops is 6 to 1 yet You hardly ever hear about crime commited there by NYPD finest..CTPD is a different story....
