Allen James Bratzel, 63, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born Jan. 6, 1945, in Hebron, N.D., to Ernest and Anna Bratzel. Allen resided in Grants, N.M., with his wife of 41 years, Marline (Grinder), formerly of Socorro. Allen was stationed at Stallion Site in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as an M.P.
Allen moved to Grants to work for Anaconda Mining Company until its closing and continued working in Grants first with Plains Electric, and then onto McKinley Papermill before his retirement.
Negotiations are continuing between Mount Taylor Addition residents and the City of Grants to alleviate on-going water seepage problems.
