Once a Marine, always a Marine? Ask any wizened leatherneck and you'll get a swift and decisive answer, but it's not merely a case of esprit de corps that is motivating Lewisburg winery owner Frank Tuckwiller to head for Beckley come May 23 to hear a speech by Marine Lt.

Beckley police say a Midway man robbed a city pharmacy at gunpoint last month and his father drove the getaway car, but the younger suspect remains at-large. Larry Allen Bowles, 47, and his son, Robert Nathaniel Bowles, 26, are both charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony, Detective Sgt.

Kristyn Stinnette is a full-time student, holds down a job and is raising a 3- and 4-year-old. The 26-year-old Lynchburg, Va., native and current Midway resident still managed the time to drop two dress sizes.

State Police say they began receiving complaints a year ago abut a man purchasing drinks for females at Logan's Steakhouse and Billy Joe's bar in Beckley while pretending to be a state trooper.
