Panel rules Rivera violated ethics rules as state lawmaker
An ethics panel found former congressman David Rivera in violation of seven instances of ethics violations while he served as a state lawmaker in Tallahassee. Faced with an exodus of his legal team, David Rivera failed to delay a Florida Commission on Ethics case that found he corruptly managed taxpayer money and his own financial disclosure forms as a state legislator.

79th Annual Florida Strawberry Festival begins
The annual Florida Strawberry is held at 303 N. Lemon St. in Plant City. The festival is open daily 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through March 10. Each year the festival boasts the huge strawberry harvest grown in Plant City.
