Two charged with setting fire to stolen Jeep

Police arrested two Monmouth County men who they say set a stolen Jeep on fire. Thomas Nole, 23, of Brainard Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, and Emilio Fernandez, 20, of Grant Place in Little Silver, were arrested Tuesday morning.

Kings Highway gets a makeover

A portion of Kings Highway East is being re-surfaced today. According to T&M Associates, Middletown, a the section of Kings Highway, from the intersection of Route 35 North until Heritage Drive is being re-surfaced. David Marks, the supervising engineer, said the length of the road being worked on is about 3,400 ft.
