Gas pipeline gets approval from county commission

A county planning commission has voted in favor of a Vermont Gas pipeline from Middlebury to the International Paper Mill in Ticonderoga, N.Y. The 15-to-11 vote Wednesday night came five weeks after two towns that would be in the path of the pipeline, Cornwall and Shoreham, voted to oppose the project.
