Middle River Church Eases Pain At Pump
It was an unusual gas giveaway in Baltimore County Monday. Adam May reports, as the cost of driving rises, churches are the latest group to try to help.
In Middle River, one church gave away gas in hopes of saving more than just money.
These days, everyone's looking for a good deal on gas. On Monday, a bunch of those seekers found the perfect deal in Middle River, and they are literally thanking the Lord.
"When I looked up this morning and saw the vans pulling in, I said, what in the world is going on here," said one station attendant.
Forget knocking on doors or preaching on street corners. Some churches are trying a new approach to spreading the word of God: pumping gas.
