Missouri mom sentenced to jail after son's death in car accident involving cell phone use
A central Missouri woman whose son died in a car accident while she was talking on a cellphone has been sentenced to one year in a county jail.
Revenue department worker admits to giving Springfield business owner illegal refunds
Tammy Dickinson, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that an employee of the Missouri Department of Revenue pleaded guilty in federal court today to fraudulently paying $158,000 in refunds to a Springfield business owner, who has also pleaded guilty to his role in the scheme, and others.
