RE: the "Fortune telling program" hosted by the library. I am wondering what the public response would be if the library hosted a forum on prophets of the Bible? They were (and are) much more accurate then palmist, astrologist, ect. The prophets of the Bible were armed with TRUTH unlike the evil lies and deception that these wolves in sheeps clothing are cloked in. Shame on the library for hosting such an event and God's Mercy on any parent who let's their child attend it.

who are you to judge these people? why don't you follow what YOUR "prophets" taught, and be tolerant of all man. your religious hate is what causes so much pain and suffering in this world.

Wow! Talk about intolerance - look at your reply!.

I think the point is that since it is inappropriate for a public library to hold Bible classes, it is also inappropriate for a public library to host programs like this fortune telling crap.

Fortune telling...Why dont they do witchcraft while they are at it.

Seriously, you don;t understand sarcasm? Seriously, backpacker is WRONG in that he tries to point out the intolerance of some one else by BEING INTOLERANT TO ALL CHRISTIANS! Seriously, you felt the need to post your nonsense even once? Oh, and the red line under "judgemental" means that you misspelled the word, if you right click it it will give you some suggestions on how to spell it correctly.

He was simply saying that spreading that kind of hate is wrong...just that one person...not all Christians. How about you do your own homework? Who cares about misspelling...you obviously have lots of time on your hands?

if you had any reading comprehension, you would understand that i, in no way, was being intolerant of christians. i was stating that if someone wanted to preach to others, they should follow the teachings of what they preach. and, i also stated that forms of religious hate (in general), are what cause suffering in this world.

and..."god's mercy on any parent who lets their child attend it." come on, do you really think that the wrath of god is going to be felt full force because these kids went and had a little fun by having their palms read?

if the library chose to have a program on the history of christianity, there would be no public protest. these programs are attended by people who are there voluntarily and want to learn about such subject.

Nope, don't see the humor because you are not funny (and you still cannot spell worth a dam) Hey Backpacker, did you even read my post? I said that having classes on religious subjects sponsored by a public library is wrong, regardless of the religion in question. Libraries should have whatever book(within reason and good taste) on the subject matter of any religion or suedo-religion they public demands. Show of hands, who is voting for Obama?
