UW-Parkside Announces Menomonee Falls 2010 Fall Honor Students

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside awarded 2010 fall semester academic honors to Menomonee Falls students Erikka Byrge and Andrew Fitzgerald. Byrge and Fitzgerald maintained grade point averages of 3.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying at least nine credits to earn Provost's List recognition.

A 49-year-old Fond du Lac man came to the restaurant parking lot to purchase some cellphones from an individual who listed them on Craigslist, according to a new release by the Germantown Police Department.

Oconomowoc Drop-off Site No Longer Accepting Electronics

Waukesha, WI Effective immediately, the City of Oconomowoc Department of Public Works municipal drop-off site located at 630 South Worthington Street, will no longer accept electronics for recycling. This site was open to all City residents although many broken and de-manufactured electronics were dropped off which are both dangerous to the workers and costly to properly manage.

One 50-year-old man dead after Menomonee Falls house fire

Investigation is ongoing relating to a house fire that occurred in Menomonee Falls in the early morning hours September 6. Upon arrival to the house in the 6600 block of Lilly Road shortly after 1 a.m., police officers and firefighters located a 50-year-old man dead inside the home. No other people were identified as being at the residence, and the man was the lone resident.
