New mail-in ballot system triggers delays in election results for San Mateo County
The San Mateo County Elections Office continues to pick up ballots daily from the post office, it announced via Twitter yesterday. When the first, much anticipated vote counts were released by the San Mateo County Elections Office at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, the numbers, while telling in some instances, were in many cases so low that key races were undetermined.
