Long-serving Memphis mayor says he plans to resign in four months
“There are several options and opportunities that I should be able to pursue, and I can't pursue them if I am occupying the office of mayor”
Mayor Willie Herenton, just beginning his fifth term in office, plans to step down in four months, The Commercial Appeal newspaper reported. via Knoxville News Sentinel
