A resident of the 200 block of North Addison Avenue sent more than $14,000 to scam artists in Canada between Nov. 7 and 23. The thieves impersonated his grandson, claiming he was in jail for DUI.

I took this now historic photograph, back in December of 2007. For many years, the Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park Illinois , would rent out the southeast corner of their property every November and December, to a traveling live Christmas tree salesmen.
