Communities often come together to help their fellow man. For the people of Meldrim, one man has made it his goal to help them and to send a message.

A tornado warning has been issued until 2:15 p.m. for northwestern Chatham County, Southeastern Effingham County in Georgia and South Central Jasper County in South Carolina.

After spending two days at its annual retreat trying to come up with a vision for Effingham County, the Effingham Chamber of Commerce now wants to start putting that foresight into motion.
