It will be lights out for one local community in the Panhandle later this week. The village of Melbeta has a planned power outage this Wednesday from nine in the morning until approximately ten thirty.

Explosion destroys garage in rural Minatare

An explosion of gas cans, aerosol spray cans and small propane cylinders caused an estimated ten to fifteen thousand dollars damage to a garage in rural Minatare.The explosion occurred five and a half miles north of Minatare on Stonegate Road near County Road J around 8:30 Sunday evening.
