Mecklenburg Sheriff Bobby Hawkins speculated this week that the recent indictments and arrests of Russell Harvey Walker III, 40, of South Hill and William Twine, 43, of Edenton, N.C. likely will put an end to a four-month investigation into a crime spree that began May 6 with a break-in at Triangle Grocery #2 on Highway 58 near Baskerville.

KEN WOODLEY Editor PRINCE EDWARD - A suspect subsequently charged with robbing a bank in Appomattox was arrested near Kingsville Tuesday afternoon, according to Appomattox County Sheriff Barry Letterman.
