Meadowlakes is one of the biggest xxit holes in the state. Not to mention how much meth is produced there. It makes the worst part of Alb. look like Tanoan.

I live in the El Cerro Mission area and when taking the trails leading out to the mountains, there are more than just dead animals out on the mesa. Trash is abundant out here along with hordes of tires and paths glistening with broken bottles. If you needed bathroom fixtures, there are plenty of tubs and commodes and there is also a boat frame laying out there as well. We have prisioners sitting in a climate controlled cells living the high life. Let's put them to workout here to clean up everything that is 100ft on either side of the pathways and to blazes with the ACLU. The Valencia County officials need to sdtop having the Boss Hogg/Hazard County attitude and enact REAL enforcement penalties for illegal dumping and 'accidental' dumping on the roadsides going towards the transfer station. Anyone whose trash is found in the mesa or on the roadsides needs to be forced to do community service and become part of a litter pickup crew to help with our growing problem. And folks, tell the County Officials about the potholes that are growing like chicken pox spreads on our paved roads as well on El Cerro Mission Road on the far east end as well.

Just burn up that whole area. It's dirty. Full of trash and trashy people! All the want to be gang bangers are up there, not to mention the illegals. You may find a few decent citizens. Not many though. Just keep watching the local news and notice all the stories that come out of that place.

Guess someone should have called the Health Dept. instead of animal control. The animal control has proven many times in the past they won't do anything, can't do anything, especially in this area. Either that or go bury it themselves. No, it's not right, but, that's the way it is until someone changes it.

Only in Albuquerque, despite its alleged mid-sized City status, would this not only make the news, but get as much time devoted to the story as it did, on Albuquerque's Ripley's Believe It Or Not Unending News Cycles. It's really amazing that other cases that are more earth-shaking, like police brutality cases, don't get as much time and repetition of cases involving dead horses, or prairie dogs.

Newsworthiness? If Michael Jackson can command the media attention he has, even in death, then I guess I'm glad to see even a dead horse take the king of pop's place for a while.

Meadow Lake where that young man was beaten, walked to a part of that place so he could get killed. Not much publicity covered that story.
