I live in Arcata and have been overexposed by duplication of testing, both by dentists (having to pay for 2 of the xray that encircles your head) and by Mad River telling me they needed to take a duplicate of the CT I received a couple of years ago. I would like to know if anyone knows of the progress on getting the FDA to o.k. the saliva test for breast cancer--you would spit in a cup, most likely. It is said to be more accurate than the many x-rays women over 50 take when getting mammograms. They may have been studying it and studying it since before 2000, I think, but although it measures different types of proteins in saliva, which may be easy, it is not promoted, and does not become available. Google in "saliva test for breast cancer" if you have not heard of it. I'm scared of xrays.
