So, like the rest of you....it is always sad when things like this happen. Stress, chemical imbalance, PTSD, and any number of other things can cause this behavior. This is why the police officers really need to be selected carefully and when signs of issues become apparent (they don't always..but most often something will become noticable) they need to be pulled aside and evaluated. If you are going to use my tax dollars for BS then you should use them for the people that are put in place to protect us.

I would like to know why the story was removed too!

These local police need to take psychological testing before they are hired. These goofy politicians just give them a badge and gun and all of a sudden they (the police)think they run the world. Their are some really bad ones who need life lessons. They are the part time idiots who do what ever they think is right.
TRAIN THEM,TEST THEM THEN PUT THEM ON THE STREET ONLY AFTER BEING WITH A VETERAN FOR SEVERAL MONTHS!

What about the idiots walking the streets over mckeesport.. i think maybe they drove the police officer over the edge.. Citizens.. if your that involved with everything then help clean up the really BAD CITIZENS walking the streets over there.. i have a mother in Kane.. and they tell us when it is dark to watch walking the parking lot.. now tell me that isnt crazy.. i am at a nursing home visiting my MOM, and i have to watch for IDIOTS that should not have a gun or be cruel.. but you will pick on the police only.. clean up the other IDIOTS.. drug dealers.. and just people thinking they are above the law also..

How about leaving the officer alone, to rest in peace? He's no longer here to defend himself to this one sided garbage. This was terrible.

I am VERY Sad & Sorry for the Damage caused to Peoples Property. And, I do Thank God, no-one else was Hurt. The Officer was an Incredible Man, an Educated Man, Caring & More Willing to Help anyone, that was willing to Help Themselves. He would go the Extra Mile for Decsend People. He did not Care about Color or Nationality. People like Him, are almost Impossible to Find. He will be SO DEEPLY MISSED BY ALL, Who knew Him.

I totally agree the Officer was a great man and would go out of his way for anyone that needed it. He did go the extra mile for my son and I a few times. HE was always willing to help no matter what race or background. He listened and he wore his uniform with pride and respect. You will be missed more than you no. My thoughts go out to his family and I hope they realize just how many people cared about him.

It is sad to read all the negative against the police force. You never read any of the positive things that they do. Do you ever read how many of the guns they have taken off of the streets or how they have turned around some of the youth. This goes on in every city not just McKeesport.
Sure many of them have an attitude, but, who gave them the attitude that they have? Could it be they are just fed up with being treated badly?

Cathy,

Thank You. You are so right. Most of these individuals who are complaining about the police will be needing them some day themselves. A lot of these people have been arrested by them and believe that the police are wrong. Officers are human too, and do make mistakes as well. Are they all bad? Absolutely not. I stand by my belief that the majority are fine people. I'd rather obey an officer than some street thug who never has worked a day in their lives.

I would just like to say that this particular police officer was a wonderful, caring, and well educated man. For people to pass judgement on him for what he did is just ridiculous! You all(who made inappropriate comments) should be ashamed of yourselves for saying rude and cruel things about him. Did you ever think that his family and friends could be reading this? Stating that he was "far from the finest" HE WAS ONE OF THE FINEST!He was a police officer for many years. He wasn't just handed a gun and a badge, he worked very hard for everything he had! Please don't make comments like that about a man who would do anything for ANYONE! Did you know him? What if your family was put into this situation? How would you feel to see some of the comments that I have read on here? It is absolutely horrible, and I would never wish this on ANYONE! To the people who have made inconsiderate comments I will be praying for you. It is sad to know that there are people in this world who will pass judgement on someone so great. Only God can judge him. Thank you.
