Russell E. "Rusty" Woodburn, 50, of McConnelsville passed away at 5:15 a.m. March 7, 2014 at the Morrison House In Zanesville following a short illness.

Earnest L. Barnhart, 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, Ohio.
Susie Valentine, 51, of Pennsville, died on Wednesday at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Morgan County Home Destroyed
A Morgan County home was destroyed by fire Wednesday. It happened at 95-95 County Road 2. Malta and McConnelsville volunteer Fire Chief Gary Woodward says the home was fully involved in flames when his department arrived on the scene around 3:00 p.m. Woodward says it was a one-and-a-half story home that was burned to the ground.
