With a flick of a switch, Gaston County's economy will get a boost. The Christmas lights of McAdenville flipped on Tuesday afternoon and should bring at least $500,000 to the county, according to McAdenville Mayor Farrell Buchannan.

Christmas Town USA is ready for visitors. The switch will be flipped Tuesday around 5:15 p.m., illuminating the thousands of lights and preparing the town for the many visitors who will drive through to see the display.
