Police Arrest Man For Murder Of Maywood Teen
Police have made an arrest in the murder of Tawanna Ford, a promising, west suburban teenager who was gunned down by a complete stranger in Maywood two weeks ago.
CBS 2's Pamela Jones spoke with the victim's family.
"I had just spoke to her at five after 7," said Ladana Ford, the victim's mother. "I can't even, it's a brick on my heart because my child is not here."
The pain of losing her daughter is still fresh. Seventeen-year-old Tawanna Ford was shot in the head on June 2.
Police have identified a suspect in the case: 20-year-old Kenydale Robinson of Chicago. He faces murder and firearms charges.

Toddler dies after fall down stairs
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services says it is investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy who fell down stairs at his home in Melrose Park on Friday.
The child has been identified as Christofer Miranda-Adan. The incident unfolded at his home, located in the 140 block of North 20th Avenue in Melrose Park, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The toddler was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 3:11 p.m. Friday.

$1M Bond For Man Accused Of Murdering H.S. Senior
A Cook County judge has ordered Kenydale Robinson, accused of murdering a Proviso East High School senior about two weeks ago, held on a $1 million bond.
Robinson appeared in bond court in Maywood over the weekend for the murder of Tawanna K. Ford, said Tandra Simonton, spokeswoman for the Cook County state's attorney. Further details about the arrest were expected to be released at a 3 p.m. press conference Monday, according to a release from Maywood police.
Ford was in the front passenger seat of a friend's car about 8 p.m. on June 2 near 9th Avenue and Washington Boulevard when she was shot, Maywood police Sgt. Tim Curry said.
