Otero County fire season heats up

“Both State Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service can also bring violators up on civil charges for violations that result in fires”

Fires have already occurred this year, and Otero County Undersheriff Norbert Sanchez said residents can expect an extremely volatile fire season in the months ahead. via Las Cruces Sun-News
