ARC grants $1.5M to King Coal Highway utility extensions

The Appalachian Reg-ional Commission approved a $1.5 million grant to the Mingo County Redevelopment Authority for water and sewer system extensions that will serve Mingo South High School and additional development sites along the King Coal Highway, Senator Robert C. Byrd announced.

Since that MASSIVE STRIP MINE PROJECT flooded my home, and the home's of many others in the area, I wanna know where my handout is? Oh yeah. State Road, Allied Resources, and Mingo County all claim neither was responsible. But someone sure did a piss poor job of planning for drainage, maintenance, and redirecting the run off after clear cutting everything in sight. The politicians that brought this amazing, wonderful
level of progress to our area, need voted out of office. Then drawn & quartered.

i have been saying this for as long as i can remember. politicians like truman chafins, nick rahall, joe manchin and rockfeller needs to be voted out. but wait till after christmas, obama is coming to west virginia to spend his christmas vacation. remember wv did not put him into office. when he leaves after his vacation he will hall all these people in the palm of his hand. he already has rahal and rockfeller, but not byrd. if it not for byrd we would not have the highways we have. rahal wanted to take byrds name off the high signs.

This is just enough to get it started. Rumor has it that there will be a big hotel, industrial park; housing development, and fast food places up there. And when the State builds them a road they will have to maintain it in winter-talk about having things handed to you on a silver platter. I hear a lot of the big money men in Williamson are in on it too.
