Stonehenge is the stage Saturday for 'King Lear'
Saturday, Maryhill's Stonehenge Memorial becomes a stage for Shakespeare when the Portland Actors Ensemble performs "King Lear." In the Bard's uncompromising tragedy, the proud King Lear declares his intention to divide his kingdom between his three daughters based on which one loves him most.
It runs from noon to 10 p.m. today and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday in E'kone Park. Set to play both days are Northwest bluegrass bands Ida Viper, Coyote Ridge Bluegrass Wranglers, Chickweed, Fiddlegrass, Deadwood Revival and Urban Monroes.
