What is so bad about Greg leaving town to avoid paying Sherry alimony? At least he did not commit any crimes or choke her to death. He just left. She would have gotten four times the amount she ended up with had she settled with him four years ago when he reasonably tried to settle with her.

What goes around comes around.

By the way, the dentist, is my brother. That is what happens when one marries low life trash who set a trap and planned the entire thing by being one person when they married and changing to something else a few years into the marriage.

Alimony for someone who had no children together, were only married a few years and she quit her job two weeks BEFORE they got married? A woman's wiles.......and a man being led by the wrong head.

And I don't recall seeing it in the headlines either.

:)

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to say something about it.

Kinda thought that might be you!

Frankly I think I would have flown the coop if I was married to Sherry too. Let's just leave it there! As Forest Gump would say. "I've said all I want to about that."

I was glad to hear he's doing well.

The skateboard park was a trainwreck from the word go. Several of the merchants and the pastors of the churches in town were tired of asking skateboarding kids to leave their property. The kids were interfering with sidewalk traffic into businesses, jumping the steps and doing tricks from the handicapped ramps at the churches. The kids would leave and then return later when they thought the person who asked them had left. It was a revolving door that couldn't be fixed.

Businesses and churches checked on their liability coverage then decided to hand the problem off to the town of Marshville.

Hiz honor da Mayor quickly calculated that he could get 10 more votes (that might be a majority in M'ville) and sprung into action declaring that he would help those poor little street urchins who had no place to skate. Ramps would be made on an unused tennis court. Children would skate and be happy. Merchants and pastors would not have to contend with skaters. The sidewalks would be clear and safe again. The sun would shine and hiz honor da mayor would rein supreme over the kingdom of M'ville. Hallelujah!

The skatepark opened and saw very little use after a couple of months. Weeds grew, trash accumulated and vandalism occurred. Some folks said it should be closed. Hiz honor looked for an excuse to do so and happened upon the question of liability insurance. Chango-presto the park is closed! The eyesore is no more! Hiz honor da mayor has saved face. Hallelujah!

LMAO

Well I don't really know about Greg. Have not heard a peep in almost 6 months. I hope Sherry is happy sitting on her not so big pile of money. Greed will do that most of the time.

Keep on, I enjoy your posts!

That dentist lived out Lansford almost in South Carolina. He had a Marshville address but he had no connection to Marshville at all. He had a dentist office in Waxhaw. When arrested he told the cops that he was growing the reefer for medical research LOL!!!!

Well as far as the skateboard park they could not pay $500.00 for insurance but they can pay a lawyer to set at every meeyting because they are afraid someone will screw up again. This is a shame. You can't support some kids but you can pay to defend our Town Board who makes mistakes. Those people that voted against it should be ashamed because they may have some grand children or children who can't find something to do.

When we got married I bought my wife a set of Ware Ever pots and pans.for a wedding present. They cost me a lot of money but over the years it has proven to be a good purchase. We have been married a long time and a lot of fine meals have been cooked in those pots and pans. They are as good today as when I bought them.

It would be nice if you really had a slim idea of facts before you write something as stupid as this post that you wrote. First, the Mayor was not really hot on the idea of the skatepark, it was the park guy that pushed this idea. I happen to walk through the park regularly and dont see weeds growing there, but see the few youths utilizing the facilities that were built for them. These kids are the same ones that you will vote for in the near future to run this town. Wake up and get your facts straight, perhaps you have had too much of a dose of the Home Snews, where the news is not usual printed correctly. If this is the case, I forgive you.

YNOT look at the date of my post before you fire off an inappropriate and totally incorrect post.

WHEN my post was written, JULY 1, 2009, the PARK indeed was CLOSED and weeds were indeed growing there. The park has only recently reopened.

Secondly, Hiz honor did publicly state, at the time, that he was in favor of building the park. It was not only in the Home News, it also was on WIXE and in the Enquirer-Journal.

Those kids that you saw skating in our skatepark won't be running for office in Marshville if past history is any indication. Most of them will move away and never return.

True, T. Boone. They will move away UNLESS the wonderful industrial park happens! Then they can stay because they will have jobs.

I own some land in the industrial park footprint. I bought it 15 years ago and have always rented it out for farming. I've had a few offers for it but I don't want to sell it. I make enough renting it out to pay the taxes and my wife's credit card bills each month (that's a lotta money too!:>)) When they build the highway and the Industrial park I will probably be 104 years old the way things are going.

Like my land on US Hwy. 74, farmed right now, is supposed to be valuable someday, WHEN the bypass happens..........

Been sitting here 22 years hearing about it.
