Tama Co. Authorities Investigating Reported Carjacking
The Tama County Sheriff's office is investigating a carjacking it says happened Thursday night on Highway 63. The sheriff's office says the victim told them it happened about 5:30 p.m. somewhere between Gladbrook and Traer or possibly north into Black Hawk County.
Railroad Crossing Damaged
Just after 5:20pm Wednesday, the Emmet County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a truck that was stopped on the Union Pacific railroad tracks, on 340th Avenue, north of Highway 9. Upon arrival, a deputy talked with the driver of the semi, 42-year old Kenneth Wallen of Marshalltown.
