Emergency Alert System Test Scheduled
July 10 - The Macon County Emergency Telephone System Board will conduct its annual test of the county's Emergency Alert and Notification System on Wednesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. This system will alert Macon County residents in the event of an emergency, delivering critical messages regarding occurrences such as chemical leaks, active shooter situations or other emergencies. People can also sign up to receive notifications for significant weather events.
