A Washington Suburban Sanitary Commissioner and former delegate, Juanita Miller of Clinton, has announced her candidacy for the District 9 County Council seat in 2010.

Marlton residents who had organized a cookout at their house on the Fourth of July said they remember two neighbors stopping by to chat and have a few drinks before they went to their house next door and built a bonfire.

Volunteers filling in for paid professionals were among those who responded to a fire that killed two men the night of July 4th in the Marlton section of Upper Marlboro.

Two people died in an Upper Marlboro , Md. house fire last night, in the 12300 block of Wheeling Avenue in the subdivision of Marlton.
