Kathleen Clark of Georgetown will always remember her son as a survivor.
When he was a child, Winston 'Burney' Clark spent six days in the hospital for treatment of third-degree burns on his leg after spilling gasoline on his pants and they caught fire. When he was learning to ride his bicycle, he was hit by a car. He broke his leg when it was run over by a tractor in his backyard. And he once accidentally shot himself with buckshot when an old rifle misfired.
Just a few years ago, he hung upside down from a tree while setting up a tree stand during a hunting trip and broke his ankle. Read more
