A Morrow County man has received a 42-year-to-life prison sentence for the murder of his girlfriend's mother.

A Fredricktown man charged in the stabbing death of a Marengo woman last year, has avoided a possible death sentence after pleading guilty as part of a plea agreement.

COLUMBUS - Darwin C. Edwards, age 86, of Columbus, formerly of Condit and Marengo, died Friday evening, June 13, 2008, at Monterey Care Center in Columbus.
