No end in sight to debate over potential new wind energy farm

A proposed wind energy project bringing up to 60, 600-foot tall turbines to rural Shiawassee County has residents split on the impact it could have on the community at large. Virginia-based Apex Clean Energy has spoken with local officials about the Maple Rapids Wind project that crosses into four townships -- Fairfield, Rush, Owosso and Middlebury -- on approximately 16,000 acres of land.
