The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a Hilton Head Island father and son Saturday night when their 36-foot sailboat ran aground near the south jetty at the entrance of Charleston Harbor.

An 18-month-old girl died after wandering from her home with her 2-year-old sister Friday afternoon, and the older sister died early Saturday morning, authorities said.
