Manns Harbor-In order to ease backups at Ocracoke as residents and visitors evacuate the island in preparation for Tropical Storm Arthur, the North Carolina Department of Transportation's Ferry Division has adjusted its Hatteras Inlet schedule for Thursday, July 3 to accommodate more departures in the morning and early afternoon.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Northern Mainland Dare County in Eastern North Carolina until 4:45 p.m. The National Weather Service has indicated a severe thunderstorm over Manns Harbor that is moving east at 25 MPH.
