John Brinkman, 69, of Mangum, was taken by AirEvac to the OU Medical Center in after an early morning accident on Saturday.
Cable One's Burge retires after 50 years in customer service
With more than 50 years in customer service, Barbara Burge has no doubt seen and heard it all in the cable industry, but she recently announced her retirement as Cable One's general manager in Altus, Okla.
Burge's early experience came from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1962 where she started work as a Service Representative.

The future bride is a graduate of Norman North High School and Moore Norman Career Technology Center. She is a singer, songwriter and skin care specialist. She is the granddaughter of Roy and Pansy Tinney of Mangum, Oklahoma and Herman and the late Donna Kaspereit of Duncan, Oklahoma. The future groom received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in legal studies from the University of Illinois. He is a recording artist, songwriter and the owner of Avenue58 Diamond Company in Brentwood. Rod is the grandson of the late Donald and Anne Lunn of Nashville, and the late Charles and Gladys Yelton of Nashville. A May wedding is planned and the couple will live in Brentwood.
