Board of Education members defend timing of SVSU vote
Members of the state Board of Education on Friday defended the timing of their vote to move Arlington and Sandgate into the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, saying that it was time to make a decision, despite calls from both involved superintendents for an opportunity to study the idea. The state board voted Thursday at its meeting in Barre to make the Arlington and Sandgate school districts part of the SVSU as of July 1, 2021.
