There are 3 comments on the Post Register story from Sep 8, 2016, titled Guest column: Wildfires disrupted Idaho power but little. In it, Post Register reports that:

Every day at Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power, employees perform a critical balancing act. The men and women who work to provide electric service to 1.8 million customers in six western states have to balance how much energy customers need with what power plants are producing and maintain that balance every minute of every day, plus or minus 5 percent.

Attacking wild fires is always a concern of states whose territories are inflicted with high dry temperatures and lots of prairie or woodlands. How do we combat a raging forest fire? How do we prevent mass devastation from wild fires, eating up our timber resources. I say get the National guard to bomb the fires with H20 via aircraft, but that would be tedious, expensive, and navigationally challenging. I just hate seeing forest fires rage for hundreds and hundreds of timbered acres and destroy our reserves . Some of those trees took a hundred years to grow. As a matter of fact, many of them took over twenty five to fifty years to grow. How do we replace that?
