Motorcyclist loses leg in crash
A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries when he lost control of his vehicle about 2:50 p.m. May 6. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, at the time of the crash, Donald Budd Sutton, 45, of Madeira Beach, was traveling on a 1993 Harley Davidson from the Duhme Causeway onto the Bay Pines triangle interchange.
Longtime school counselor retires
Jean Lanier, a professional school counselor and Seminole resident, retired from the Pinellas County School System after 41 years as of April 5. Lanier began her career in the school system at Madeira Beach Middle as a counselor and occupational specialist.
