New Route 8 ramp eases congestion
When the Ohio Department of Transportation decided to retool the state Route 8-Interstate 271 interchange, a major goal was to relieve traffic congestion at nearby Highland Road.
Akron: One-lane closed to traffic on I-271 through Friday
Beginning Tuesday night, July 28, through early Friday morning, Aug. 7, from approximately 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., Interstate 271 from state Route 82 to south of state Route 8 will be reduced to one lane in the southbound direction for milling and paving work.
