Testimony: Slaying suspect sought alibi
A man charged with killing his father in the parking lot of a Berks County battery plant lied to investigators about his whereabouts that night and expected two ex-girlfriends to back up his alibi, according to testimony Tuesday.
After hearing testimony, District Judge Gail Greth of Fleeetwood ruled that enough evidence exists to send more than two dozen charges against Floyd Bogle to Berks County Court.
Bogle was arrested almost a year after the bloodied body of his father, Kenrick Bogle of Allentown, was found slumped across the front seats of his car at East Penn Manufacturing in Richmond Township, near Lyons.

Man killed his father, police say
At least three times, Floyd C. Bogle opened credit card accounts in his father's name and amassed thousands of dollars in unauthorized charges, but Kenrick Bogle of Allentown wouldn't turn him in, relatives told police.
Once, Kenrick Bogle dug into his retirement plan to pay off an $8,000 balance and arranged for his son to pay him back, they said. After one $200 check from the son, the next check bounced and no others came.
In March 2007, Bogle told a credit card company Floyd was probably behind one case of fraud, police say. A month later, Kenrick Bogle, 62, was found stabbed to death in his car in the parking lot of the Berks County battery plant where he worked. Read more
