Who: Micah Lee David Howard, 3, of Kansas City.
When and how he died: Jan. 9 in Lyons, Kan. Micah's cause of death has not been officially determined.
Last Christmas: For the first time, Micah was old enough to appreciate Christmas, his family said. And the comings and goings of Santa Claus were his main concern.
Inspired by a holiday movie, Micah implored his grandmother Scarlett Garner to move her tree because it was right in front of the fireplace. 'He couldn't figure out for sure just exactly how Santa Claus was going to get in,' she said. Read more
