LYNDON – A judge has upheld his ruling that overturned a Whiteside County zoning decision, reverting the land on which Spalding's Auto Parts now sits to agricultural use.

The county's largest school district is set to weigh in on an April sales tax vote.

The unseasonably warm weather that has melted snow and pelted the area with rain also has caused the Rock River to jump its banks in several spots.

The police report does not include every crime in a community. In some cases, no police report is filed, and sometimes police withhold information on pending investigations.

By Wednesday night, voters in Whiteside County may have a second chance to vote on a 1-cent sales tax hike for school infrastructure.
