I'm thrilled when I can make it to an event plugged in the column. Last Sunday , I enjoyed breakfast with the Lyndhurst Life Savers -- Friends for More Birthdays to raise funds for the American Cancer Center at the Lyndhurst Community Center.

Cleveland Easter tradition Eggshelland reborn in Lyndhurst
For 56 years, Eggshelland was a Cleveland tradition. Since 1957, Lyndhurst couple Ron and Betty Manolio had transformed their front yard on Linden Lane into an Easter paradise for the days between Palm Sunday and Easter, using upward of 40,000 real, painted eggshells to create elaborate themed displays.

Lyndhurst has lovely places to recharge, and two of my favorites are Anderson Fields at 4900 Anderson Road and Schaefer Park with path, playground and athletic field near Fairlawn Road.
