Why would the town want to find ways to cost the taxpayers more money especially during these economic times.
I guess they want to raise taxes again. |

If you award Retiree healthcare TODAY to anyone who does not already get it without FIRST getting a VERY LONG TERM projection of the cost ... from a PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING FIRM (OF SUFFICIENT SIZE & RESOURCES TO BE SUED IF THEY GIVE INCORRECT ADVISE), you are NUTS.
The cost is enormous..... WAY more than your wildest guess. That being said, even if you DO decide to go ahead, to accrue credit toward subsidizing this benefit for PAST years of service is nothing but atheft of taxpayer money, and you should be personally sued for doing so. |
