Crack cocaine bust northwest of Lufkin adds to sheriff's office efforts to clean up county

drugs....

drugs hide a larger problem.

people turn to drugs to numb the pain of a life without promise...

productive jobs are leaving this city and county with men unable to put their efforts toward something beneficial...

instead, they are left with time on their hands, and a pain that needs to be quenched....

michael jackson had that pain. saddled with a crushing debt and a blighted past, although on his way to a whirlwind concert event, he lived with a constant inner turmoil that cried out for relief. anesthetic to numb the pain. he longed to be comfortably numb.

is there no end to the pain? are we all doomed to live a life numbed by drugs? if we cannot provide our young with something productive, they will turn to crime and drugs in increasing numbers.

heaven help us, we need leaders not politicians/

day after day,

week after week.

he looks through the paper in hopes of finding a job. his money is gone. eviction will come soon enough. if it were just him, it would be different but the kids need a place to live.

the headlines talk about how 787 billion wasn't enough. maybe they need to borrow more money to make this darned recession go away.

as he looks over the top of the paper, his children are playing with the cat. he wonders why 787 billion dollars didn't make a dent? it would make a dent for him. 787 dollars would make a dent. turning his attention back to the paper, he thinks that it's a good thing we have smart people running this country.

finished with the paper, he hangs his head in prayer. "Lord, help me not for myself, but for the kids. I had such plans Lord, it wasn't supposed to be like this. Where did I go wrong?"

Just then a knock at the door. it was the sheriff. he called out to the kids. "ok guys, get the cat and your bags. we need to go." go where daddy? not really sure, but we can't stay here.

maybe some of that 787 billion will trickle down to him. maybe some day soon?
