11 months for scrap metal theft
A Lower Salem man who stole scrap metal from a Lower Salem residence and later fled when a Washington County deputy attempted to serve his arrest warrant was sentenced Friday to 11 months in prison. Steven L. O'Brien, 25, of 343 Main St., Lower Salem, was sentenced on a fifth-degree felony count of theft.
"It takes a lot of work, and it's not enough to just throw food in their pan and call it a champion," Becker said.
